Family Practice

The dynamics of family life play a critical roll in  the health of an individual.  In modern society, the family has taken a tremendous hit.  We now have a significant portion of our population who are members of one parent families.  Some children in "blended homes" are being raised by several parents as they alternate weekends with the two or more households.  All of this has a great influence on the an individual's sense of wellbeing and security.  The family provides the framework for growth and development.  Strong family ties offer a stability and peace that can not be obtained in other natural setting.  It is in this setting that Physicians enter into a relationship with their patients.  Where family life is wholesome and healthy, there is typically found wholesome and healthy individuals.  As practitioners in this era, we at Shepherd of Hope Clinic make every effort to support family and to engender a love for family in our patients regardless of possible family dysfunction.  We believe that any member of a dysfunctional family can be a key element in liberating other members of a family from that dysfunction.

Shepherd of Hope was founded as a family practice where all members of the family are treated.  We have trained professionals who have committed their lives to various aspects of that family practice. The practice is designed to care for the young and the old in nearly every facet of outpatient care.  Some of us have been deeply involved in delivering children over the years and although no one in the clinic currently is practicing obstetrics,  we all have a great delight in this wonderful aspect of family life and encourage our married couples to accept the wonderful blessing of children.  We strongly believe in life and wish  that all of our patients might enjoy life to the full and participate with God in bringing new life into the world.  There is tremendous joy to be had as we celebrate with all of heaven in  fulfilling the Divine commission of 'increase and multiple and fill the earth'.
